Despite the cold weather, thousands of workers were eager to join the program.
During Tet 2017, trade unions in Hanoi in collaboration with authorized agencies presented Tet gifts worth over VND15.2 billion to over 22,000 disadvantaged workers and labourers, and also prepared nearly 650 coaches to transport over 28,500 workers and labourers home for Tet with their families.
During the program, the Hanoi Confederation of Labour presented support for the building and repairing of 65 houses, handed over 3,100 presents and 1,400 coach tickets for workers, with a capital of over VND4.4 billion.
Dao Duc Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi party Committee, presented gifts and coach tickets for workers.
Each present worth VND1 million aimed to share difficulties with workers.

Diverse activities like making sticky rice cakes and art performances were also held during the program.

The average Tet bonus for each worker in domestic and foreign direct investment (FDI) companies will be 7 million VND (307 USD) and 6.8 million VND (298 USD) respectively.
The party will also feature a lucky draw program with many valuable gifts for workers. It is known that this is the first time the company organizes such party so that its workers can enjoy Tet early.
The government will also organize a lot of cultural-sports activities for workers, aiming to create useful playgrounds for them on Tet.

Every year, activities of taking care of laborers on Tet holiday take place lively. Granting bus tickets, Tet gifts and holding meetings for laborers who can not afford to come back their hometown for Tet bring a warm Spring for alien workers.
On the coming Tet holiday, activities of granting gifts to laborers take place across the country.
Despite difficulties in production and business, many enterprises still take care of laborers’ Tet holiday.
Tet holiday is a very important and meaningful for Vietnam.
The Government and enterprises should make more chances and help for worker co come home and enjoy tet with their families.
To save more money for their young children in their homelands, many parents, who left other provinces, mostly in the north, to work in Ho Chi Minh City choose to have a lonely Lunar New Year (Tet) away from home even though they have not gone home for many years.
