Shining patriotism of Vietnamese
9/7/14
It was one of the contents
that author Rafał Tomanski mentioned in an article published on July 4, 2014 in the newspaper
Rzeczpospolita, one of Poland's major newspapers.
Author Rafał Tomanski wrote: Since
the beginning of last May,
China
deployed illegally the oil rig Hai
Duong 981 in
the waters of Vietnam. Despite the protests from
Vietnam and the international community, China continues
to increase the number of drilling
rigs, ships and aircrafts in the
South China Sea... Besides, the
“fighting for sovereignty” also spreads
to the libraries,
where both Vietnam
and China at
the same time find older and
more credible historical documents
to assert sovereignty over the sea and islands.
Mr. Rafał Tomanski said that at the
international conference on the East Sea
with the theme “The sovereignty over the Spratly
and Paracel” took place in Warsaw (Poland)
on July 3, the Vietnamese community
in Poland
sent two atlases published
by Hansa-Ausgabe publishment of West Germany
in 1896, clearly stating China's
southernmost limits in Hainan Island.
It is expected that two atlases will be transferred in time to contribute further evidence to assert sovereignty of
Vietnam
over two Spratlys
and Paracels.
“This is not the only activity of Vietnamese community in Poland. Since
last May, there were two demonstrations made by Vietnamese community
in front of the Chinese Embassy in Warsaw
to protest China’s
illegal placement of the oil rig HD 981 in waters of Vietnam.
Moreover, the Vietnamese community there also donated 16.000USD
to Vietnam
in the effort
of protecting the territorial waters”,
the author write. Mr. Rafał Tomanski
considered that through these actions have shown a shining patriotism and spirit of protecting the sovereignty of
Vietnam.
“They have reason
to express their love to the sea
and islands of Vietnam
because by far it has not yet known when China
will pull the rig HD 981 out of Vietnam’s
waters. Vietnam government
does not lose temper and let themselves not to
be provocative”, said Rafał Tomanski.
Also in the article, the author raised a series of questions such as: How can Vietnam remain
calm and control his actions before the
aggressive behavior of China? Is
it possible to predict the next moves of
China?... The author said
that these issues require a
thoughtfulness because the insecurity in Asia,
particularly in the South
China Sea could make serious consequences for the
whole world.

The Vietnamese refrain about these territorial waters is constant and unerring.
China is breaking the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, and that the vessels are engaged in illegal activities in waters that are part of Vietnam's continental shelf.
It appears that China just wants to infringe on every Asian nations territorial integrity. Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, Malaysia.... Who's next? The real issue is that they don't have the resources to support 1.3billion. So they need to rob others or negotiate deals and pay for the resources which they desperately need.
China is expanding her territory, aggressively attack and bully those weaker countries such as Vietnam and Philippine. When an aggressive country appear, all the weaker ones will automatically unite to create balance of power.
china will always sneak in the back door or through the window, we must keep them shut.
Very well written, may I have your permission to diseminate this thesis ?
I have done my research on the evidences on the ownership of Vietnam over the Paracels and Spratly Islands as well. If Hung Quan needs information, you're always welcomed.
Even when Vietnam was under France, it's still under Vietnam's jurisdiction.
The islands are not belong to China, the 200 miles that China claimed overlapping is invalid. The southeast most of China is Hai Nan island.
China declare war, then there will be enemy of the world.
