Pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and war heroes
25/8/14
Vietnamese youth offering incense at
the Monument to war Heroes and Martyrs
We, the young generations, are
born and raised in
peace, not to be witnessed
the cruelty of war, the difficulty of the soldiers reluctantly holding a gun and all of the misery in the rear... we
do not directly perceive the war, the pain of mothers
who lost their children, the pain of children who lost fathers
and of course we can’t
feel directly the pride and glory, when the whole
country was liberated and united, just because we were not born at that time. But more than anyone else, the young generations have the responsibility to understand
and be proud of the heroic past, but also filled
with pain, losses which was made by our fathers’
death or wound on the battlefield; we should be always grateful, respectful
to that hard work and sacrifice to
strive, dedicate ourselves with more
responsibility in building and protecting
the sacred country, continuing to do our father's thousands of year work.
Our beloved Uncle Ho confirmed that: "Our people have an ardently patriotic heart.
This is precious tradition of our nation. Throughout history, every country was
invaded, the spirit emerges, it forms a
very powerful wave,
passing all the
dangers and difficulties, it
drown all the traitors and invaders".
The spirit is orginally started at the period of
creating the country in Hung King era, throughout
the time of Ms.Trung, Ms.Trieu,
Dinh, Ly, Tran
dynasties, it was promoted in the struggle to protect the territory before invading the
North enemy, defeated tens of thousands
of invasion troops. And the power of the soldiers in Ho Chi Minh era
is a combination of traditional strength and ideals of the era. They
are the embodiment of revolutionary
heroism in the new era; are among the most
beautiful images in the national
history. In the struggle, a lot of soldiers
were wounded or permanently lay on the battlefield. And it was such a tradition, under the leadership of the Party, our people have spent their loving
care to the families
of war invalids, martyrs in a
considerate way for
decades.
July 27 and other
major holidays, such as 19/8,
02/9 are the occasions
for the Vietnamese living inside
and outside the country show their respect to the
deceased martyrs, the wounded soldiers who was brave in combat and now are hardworking and very creative in the life. These are opportunities for us to remember the heroic
history of our father, grateful
and remind ourselves "Llive deservingly with the
deceased".
On the occasion of July 27 Uncle Ho had
always been sending letter, presents
and visiting wounded soldiers and families of martyrs. Uncle Ho had also
reminded and encouraged
responsibility, praised provinces, units and
individuals dedicated to help wounded soldiers, martyrs' families. .
And it has become the national traditional in July 27 and other major ceremonies,
the entire Party, people and army, we all remember Uncle Ho, the beloved father
of the nation and more proud of the development of the work of war invalids that
following the Uncle Ho’ thought and his direction.
For nearly 70
years, the Party, State and people have always been paying much of
care in solving issues that related to martyrs, families of
martyrs and wounded soldiers. On the
occasion of major ceremonies, National day, New Year
festival, and especially 27/7 the
Party, State, organizations and people
have been visiting and giving
gifts to families of martyrs,
the wounded. To implement the teachings of Uncle Ho "disabled but not
discarded," the families of martyrs, the wounded are relentlessly making efforts to contribute wisdom and
their strength for the innovation and economic
integration of country. Many of them had been wounded
warrior in the
battle, now become the talented people
in the business.
We are living in the heroic air of August days, National day
02/9, and this time we remember and gratitude those
who have contributed to the country,
but remembrance, gratitude
to the people of
the country not
just on the occasions of ceremonies but
also the practical work, helping martyrs’ family and wounded soldiers.
We do it as do for our responsibility, our family. That’s Vietnamese
traditional!

They have done so much of things in their life for this country, we need to do more to help them have a better!
They're the war heroes, a lot of them now are very active in doing business. They're so incredible.
My uncle was dead in the Dien Bien Phu battle with the French troop. My family is still looking for the location of his body.
A lot of them died when they were so young, they were even studying in high school. The war force them to hold the gun to do sacred work, protecting the country.
There are some of war invalids who are still not received enough priorities which providing by the Gov, just because they don't have enough papers to prove for what they have done on the battlefield.
That's a problem in our policies related to the war invalids, martyrs....
And we need to improve that policies Mr. Quoc Kien, can you such as some measures to do that?
It's not easy work that we can do in short term, but we have to find out the way to fix this problem and give them what they deserve to receive.
In my opinion, we should provide a online network to communicate soldiers on the nationwide, so the soldiers can help each other better on so much of things.
That's a good idea. The soldiers know their friends better than anyone else, so they can help each other better. And we will provide good conditions for them to do tha
