Press with revolutionary achievements of Vietnam

90 years ago, Nguyen Ai Quoc
founded Thanh Nien Newspaper and first publication on June 21, 2015 set the
foundation for Vietnam Revolutionary Press. The birth of Thanh nien Newspaper
is an important milestone of our country's revolution. Through this newspaper, Ho
Chi Minh spread revolutionary ideas to numerous classes of people, preparing
for the establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam on February 3, 1930. 20
years later, Vietnamese people under the leadership of the Communist Party made
the great August Revolution, ushered a new era in our nation’s history - the
era of national independence and socialism. Over the last 90 years, the revolutionary
press is always with the nation, growing up with the revolution and people.
Journalists are actual soldiers with pen, paper as sharp weapons, making a
worthy contribution to the struggle for national independence and
reunification, building and protecting the country of Vietnam
Today, the situation in the world
and the region is very complex. The innovation, industrialization,
modernization and international integration, construction and national defense
of our people are facing many opportunities and advantages but also to cope
with the difficulties and challenges. In 2015, our country will commemorate
many major anniversaries, the Party will conduct Congress at all levels. In
this context, the press needs to continue to promote the glorious tradition.
Press must continue to
innovate, improve quality, efficiency of information and communication, contribute
to consolidation and people's trust in the Party and the State on the success
of the country’s renovation, create social consensus, build mass ethnic unity;
actively participate in the patriotic emulation movement, detecting replication
of advanced typical, good people and good deeds; uphold justice and protect the
rights and legitimate interests of the people.
Newspapers need to
strengthen and improve the quality of communication, external information to
people of the world so that international friends could understand the
guidelines and policies of the Party and State, the achievements in the revolutionary
progress, promoting image of the country and people of Vietnam, contributing to
international integration, strengthening solidarity, international support for
the cause of building and defending the Fatherland of our people. Newspapers
should also reflect the situation of the country honestly and aspirations of
the people, playing role as the voice of the people, a bridge between the
people and the Party...
Leaders of press agencies
require firm political bravery, determination, clear moral quality, high professional
knowledge. Journalists need to be constantly trained and strive to improve the
political spirit, ethics, social responsibility, professional qualifications to
overcome every difficulty, temptation, courage. They should always put the
interests of the country and the people above everything else, sticking to
reality to have more journalistic works or persuade, appeal to the public,
deserve to be the soldiers on the cultural front as Uncle Ho had commanded...
