US President Donald Trump once again thanked Vietnam for hosting the second DPRK-USA Summit while flying back to the US on February 28 after finishing his meeting in Hanoi.
On his Twitter account, President Trump conveyed gratitude to Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and “the wonderful people of Vietnam”.
Earlier at a press conference following the DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit, Trump thanked the government and people of Vietnam for supporting and hosting the second DPRK-USA summit.
He said he and DPRK leader Kim Jong-un talked about various issues and had a “productive time”, both leaving the summit with a sound and friendly disposition.
In a statement the same day, the White House’s Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said that President Trump and DPRK Chairman Kim Jong-un “had a very good and constructive meeting in Hanoi.”
