the Party and State have always made caring for people who made great contributions to the country a national priority with great significance to humanity.
Priority policies for these people have been constantly developed and supplemented, creating a basis for promoting the gratitude movement which pays tribute to national contributors.
Relevant ministries, branches and localities have implemented practical activities to assist contributors’ families nationwide.
Many units, businesses, organisations and individuals have taken the responsibility of caring for heroic Vietnamese mothers and have supported children of disadvantaged war invalids’ and martyrs’ relatives.
Thanks to the Party and State’s great concern as well as the support of benefactors, many war invalids, and relatives of martyrs and revolutionaries have risen up in life to improve themselves
They achieve many significant results to become model citizens who set a good example for the entire community to follow.
the number of contributors’ families enjoying higher than average living standards in their localities is on the rise
To date, it is reported that 95% of communes and wards nationwide are reaching national standards for providing good care and services for war invalids and families of martyrs and revolutionary contributors.
All of these achievements are clear evidence of the Party and State’s efforts and support from the entire society in helping national contributors, as well as their self-improvement in contributing to the community.
However, the care for national contributors in recent years still faces problems that need to be addressed.
Some are still living in difficult circumstances, particularly those in remote areas.
Housing development projects for contributors are witnessing slow deployment. Martyrs’ remains identification currently faces many difficulties caused by the lack of information.
inadequate job policies and welfare for contributors’ relatives as well as limitations in updating and disseminating Party and State documents on caring for contributors also require improvements.
The situation calls for the Party and State to continue perfecting priority policies for national contributors in association with the new period of the country’s socio-economic development.
Relevant authorities should encourage the entire society to promote and further expand the gratitude movement to pay tribute to revolutionary contributors
it should strengthen responsibilities of State management agencies over inspection and management of the implementation of preferential policies for contributors; and promoting public awareness of the national gratitude movement.
mobilising all social resources to care for national contributors is a national priority.
Under the Party’s leadership, with many incentives from relevant sectors, agencies and localities, we can better tend to national contributors’s situation.
Helping them attain prosperous and happy lives, which thus in turn, contributes to ensuring social security and promoting national innovation, industrialisation and modernisation processes.
That is all society's responsibility.
