Anti-government elements must be punished for the country’s sake

Lưu Văn Vịnh - President of self-proclaimed "The
Alliance of Self-Determined People"
Last month, the arrests of some individuals who
are connected to a new self-claimed civil society organization “The Alliance of
Self-Determined People” sparked contreversy among groups and individuals in
Vietnam and abroad. Who are these detainees? They are Hồ Văn Hải, Lưu Văn Vịnh
and Nguyễn Văn Đức Độ who plotted The Alliance of Self-Determined People in an
attempt of carrying out activities aimed at overthrowing the people’s
administration, charged under Article 79 of the penal code.
This incident is just an internal affair in
protecting the country’s security but foreign hostile forces, reactionary
elements and several human rights groups have called out for these men’s
releases. Amnesty International said the arrests “represent an upturn in the
use of the criminal justice system in a crackdown against human rights
defenders and activists engaged in advocacy relating to the disaster which has
included intimidation and harassment, and wide scale surveillance of activists.
They called these men as activists for human rights and democracy and asked the
Vietnamese government to release them. It’s clearly an interference with the
country’s affairs.
But, why don’t they see these men are
criminals who violated Vietnam’s laws and must be punished in accordance with the
laws. Lưu Văn Vịnh who established and claimed as president of The Alliance of
Self-Determined People in amid 2016, and who are members of this group. A so-called spiritual leader Tadeo Nguyen van ly, vice
president of foreign affairs Dinh Quang Tuyen, vice president of internal
affairs Khanh Le Hoang, general secretary nguyen chi trung, financial chief Vu
Thi Thuong Huyen, chief of staff Chau Minh Tam and chief of personnel Do Phi
Truong are all anti-government individuals, some just got out of the prison due
to the State’s pardon policy.
Whether a group like that
could bring any good to the country and people? It’s an apparent answer if
looking through the group’s position that it posted on Vinh Luu facebook (Lưu Văn Vịnh). This group is set to collect
money from overseas donors and to conduct activities against the Party and
State of Vietnam, causing chaos and instability in Vietnam’s society for
hostile forces’ schemes.
So, they have been paid for their wrong doings
and people should be aware to not involve with these elements’ deeds. And,
foreign human rights organizations like Amnesty International, Human Rights
Watch, the U.S. State Department, etc should not watse time for these crap
groups and stop intervening into other nations’ internal affairs. Vietnam has
regulations and laws to deal with them, we are an independent state and we can
handle our jobs well without your concerns./.

The Vietnamese government to uphold the rights of freedom of association, peaceful assembly and expression that is guaranteed under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights of which Vietnam is a signatory, but these individuals are criminals and must be handled.
Luu Van Vinh founded a group on July 15, which he called “The Alliance of Self-Determined People”. It was not registered with the authorities and other activists say they know little about its aims and activities.
Yes, it smells suspicious! Do those elements truly care about human rights of Vietnam? I don't think so.
