Cambodia closed The National Democratic Institute of the United States
10/9/17
The Cambodian
government has asked the National Democratic Institute of the United States to
stop all activities and remove its foreign staff from Cambodia within 7 days.
The Cambodian Ministry
of Foreign Affairs accused the National Democratic Institute of the United
States of America (NDI) of operating unlicensed and non-paying.
Cambodian Prime
Minister Hun Sen has criticized NGOs for accusing the groups of conspiring to
overthrow the Cambodian government.
This is a tough move by
the Cambodian Government for a sign of outside support to the troubled groups
that plotted to overthrow the Cambodian government.
Wise, the face of
American democracy is more and more visible in countries where the United
States somehow interferes in their internal affairs. And in Vietnam, that is
the same, if the US does not make appropriate adjustments.
In this vote for
Cambodia!
