Khanh acknowledged the school’s achievements over the past school year and expected them to maintain unity and achieve higher academic records in the new school year.
In Lao Chai commune’s Kindergarten, the new school year opening ceremony started two hours later than scheduled due to torrential rains.
The recent flashflood caused huge loss of up to VND 400 million to the Ta Ghenh-based Lao Chai Kindergarten. Two classes were swept away and many teaching tools and equipment were lost or destroyed. However, the school’s teachers and employees in association with the students’ parents had worked very hard to enable the new school year to start as scheduled.
* The same day, schools in Sung Do town of Van Chan district opened the 2017-2018 new school year to welcome 662 new students, many of whom live in places up to 30kms away from the schools.

On this occasion, the Yen Bai provincial Business Association and the Van Chan district People’s Procuracy presented a rice cooking cabinet to students of the Sung Do Primary and Secondary Schools.
Likewise, commanders of Regiment 3 of Division 324 of Military Region 4 offered 13 gifts, worth VND 300,000 to needy students in their stationed area of Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province. The gifts aimed to encourage disadvantaged students to surmount their hardship and obtain good academic records. Earlier, the regiment sent 350 troops to clean up the environment at Minh Son and Dan Luc Primary Schools in Trieu Son district and Tay Ho Primary School of Tho Xuan district.
