Reactionary portraits: The Viet Tan’s 8th Conference and Continuation of crafty tricks of deceiving people
7/9/17
In recent
times, the name "Viet Tan" is probably too familiar to the Vietnamese
community because soon after the establishment leaders of the National United
Front for the Freedom of Vietnam (NUFLV) - precursor of Viet Tan have been
known for many sophisticated tricks of polishing their names. They are holding
their “8th congress” scheduled from 7th to 10th September
in the United States, which
has nourished them for its own purpose against Vietnam.
Looking back
on the early 1980s when the anti-communist sentiment among the Vietnamese exile
community rose, Hoang Co Minh (the top leader of Viet Tan) and his party took
advantage by using propaganda tricks to propagate. Thanks to a few-minutes
video about a so-called domestic base which was filmed in Thailand, the
fame of Hoang Co Minh as well as the Front emerged as kites encountered the
wind. With less than 10 finger counts in number, top leaders of the Front have
still claimed themselves ranks from general to captain and camouflaged under
the cloak of struggle to cheat anti-government elements among the overseas Vietnamese community.
Their
sophisticated trick was to make anti-state individuals in the overseas
Vietnamese community to believe in a domestic base with the mighty army of
hundreds of thousands who were practicing day and night to prepare for the
attacks against the Vietnamese
State. In fact, the
domestic base was just some leafy tents nestled in a mountainous forest in
Buntharit, Ubon, Thailand, which they hired as
shelters. Living in shortage of essential items, they were used by the Thai
military as pawns to guard the border and gather intelligence. Moreover, at the
opening ceremony of the base they put Hoang Xuan Yen in front of camera announcing
loudly that he donated the insurgents 2,000 dollars to gain trust and then
openly collect millions of dollars from the naive anti-government elements in
the community.
Not stopping
there, they also concealed the death of Hoang Co Minh, by writing and sending
greeting letters to the community on the occasion of Tet holiday for 14 years,
to continue to maintain the Front and receive the huge amount of money donated by
the naïve anti-state individuals. After being exposed by its members, group of
leaders Do Hoang Diem, Hoang Co Dinh and Ly Thai Hung sought to evade the mental
and physical debts that the Front owed to naive donors. They used trick of
changing clothes for the Front to the so-called "Vietnam Reform
Revolutionary Party", referred to as Viet Tan.
New wine
into old wineskins, once again they painted themselves and tried to cover its
nature of a terrorist organization under a political party. They constantly
deceived the community into believing that the group had the number of
thousands of party members in the country and tens of thousands overseas. To
demonstrate the lies about the so-called voices of Viet Tan inside the country,
its chief executives in the United States have sought to bring members back to the
country to hire some drug addicts, naïves and illiterates which were less
educated, lack political knowledge but greedy for money and reputation to induce
them to learn by heart what they prepared and then recite in front of the Viet
Tan’s camera to fabricate propaganda footages.
In addition,
Viet Tan has hooked up and tricked some gullible people in the country to
participate the group with flattering promises of prosperous life or bright
future in the West. However, when those lunatics and mercenaries were arrested
by the Vietnamese authorities for their anti-state activities and looked for support
and protection of Viet Tan, its leaders took advantage of the situation to
publicly proclaim that those were its members, which probably brought more
troubles for those individuals, in order to score points in the eyes of
anti-state elements in the overseas Vietnamese community and bluff with other
reactionaries about its power as a political party in the forefront of
anti-Vietnam movements.
With the
crafty propaganda tricks of cropping, compiling and inserting information,
images and distortions into fabricated videos, clips and articles about
internal situations that would mislead and create dissatisfaction among the
masses, they incite and provoke anti-government protesters. To make vivid
stories in front of the camera, Viet Tan also paid money for people to increase
the number involved in the rally and staged disorders and chaos to then slander
the government of suppressing the people. Moreover, they have bribed some media
companies, set up trash websites and nurtured hundreds of people just to navigate
and manipulate information for their tricks. Who knows that inside the
glittering cover, Viet Tan has carried out many deceptive, fraudulent and wicked
plots in front of the community at home and abroad.
However, as
"the needle in a wrapper”, the despicable nature of Viet Tan is gradually
being exposed. They and their leaders Lý Thái Hùng, Đỗ Hoàng Điềm, have been
condemned and boycotted not only by anti-state individuals and former members,
but the whole overseas Vietnamese community as well. So, those who are
ambiguous about politics and are engaging in anti-state activities of Viet Tan
should wake up early to get out of their trap before it's too late. Do not
listen to what "Viet Tan" say, look carefully at what they have done
to see clearly the terrorist and wicked nature of Viet Tan./.

This kind of terrorist group needs to be stopped and punished. They have caused many problems and damages to Vietnam and relations with other nations.
Hope that Vietnamese overseas will recognize Viet Tan's true wicked nature and keep away from them.
Yes, if do not receive supports from the U.S. and naive people abroad, Viet Tan can not carry out their filthy and dangerous tricks and activities any more.
