Stable Vietnam on the path of renovation

When thinking of Vietnam, many foreigners is reminiscent of a ravaged country by war. However, since independence, through two fierce wars with the right policies for renovation in 1986, from a poor and backward country, Vietnam has risen to become one of the dynamic economy in the Asia-Pacific region. Thus in recent years, successful stories of economic development of Vietnam have become the focus of the international media and 2014 is not an exeption. In a long-term instalment called “Changing life”, the leading Italian journal of finance-economy 24-hour Sun evaluated Vietnam as one of the most liveable places for people and the country's investment . According to the newspaper, despite the impact of the economic crisis, in 2013, Vietnam's GDP growth was 5.2% and Vietnam's economy continues to grow. Commenting on the housing market, this paper confirmed that low prices can attract foreign investors, especially when Vietnamese government is drafting policies for allowing foreigners to buy houses in Vietnam. Regarding life in Vietnam, 24-hour Sun reported that we definitly secure to send children in many international in the big city. According to the newspaper, with Italian’s income, a person who work for governmental agencies or companies of this country can live in affluence Vietnam.
Under the headline “A friend on the other side of the earth”, journalist Karina Gonzalez Marron by Granma newspaper, the organ of the Communist Party of Cuba has commented recently that the first striking impression of the author is progress Vietnam achieved after the devastation of past wars and intimate feelings of the people of Vietnam to Cuba. “In Vietnam, we find that your country is on track to grow strongly with new and modern buildings built everywhere, major roads are being extended to connect the airport with the city. Mr. Evert Helms, CEO of the Pepperl & Fuchs Company (P&F), specializing in industrial sensors and processing technology, expressed good feelings when working in Vietnam because his company was received the best conditions for production. According to him, Vietnam has a stable government, people are highly qualified and are always progressive spirit.
Meanwhile, the AP media quoted the speech of chairman of the World Bank (WB) Jim Yong Kim in a visit on last July about the admirable achievements of Vietnam. “The lessons of Vietnam are very useful for other countries and very helpful to us, helping us to implement funding overall goal is to end extreme poverty and build shared prosperity. Vietnam is a typical success story of development and Vietnam should share with the world”, Jim Yong Kim, chairman of the World Bank said.

It joined the Association of South-east Asian Nations in 1995, then in 1999 signed a trade agreement with the US, enabling trade to take off. In 2007, it joined the World Trade Organisation.
