Newspapers and tasks of propaganda about the country's development

February 24, 2015 , Mr. Dinh The Huynh, member of the Politburo and Secretary
of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Committee chaired
the Spring Press Briefings 2015. The event has become a new year tradition for
every journalist. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam; representatives of the
Ministry of Information and Communications, Vietnam Journalists Association;
leaders from many press agencies and numerous senior journalists have attended
the event.
At the
briefing, Mr. Dinh The Huynh, Chairman of Central Propaganda Committee
emphasized that the year 2015 is an important year - the last year to implement
the Resolution of eleventh Congress of the Party and Economic Development Plan
2011-2015 - the year marks the halfway point of implementing the strategy of socio
- economic development in period 2011-2020 and commemorating many important
events of the country. Especially, 2015 is also the year when the Congress
Party at all levels towards the 12th National Congress of the Communist
Party held in early 2016. With the journalists and press sector, the year 2015
is the 90th anniversary of Vietnamese Press Day; 65 years of Vietnamese
Journalists Association... The task posed for the press very this year is very
heavy, requiring high quality and efficiency all in terms of leadership,
direction and management as well as deployment of information propaganda. They
are also conditions and opportunities for those working in press sector to
perform role, political responsibility, creativity to make qualitative press
works with positive effects to society.
To
complete the task, Mr. Dinh The Huynh said that the journalists need more
acutely aware of the role, position, functions and tasks of the revolutionary
press; constantly honing their political, professional ethics, raising the
level of expertise. Immediately after the Lunar New Year, the press agencies
should focus on implementing good communication on socio-economic tasks in 2015;
urgently planning and implementing positive, creative propaganda to celebrate
the 125th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, the 40th
Reunification Day of Vietnam and propagandizing for the 12th
National Congress of the Party at all level.
At the
briefing this Spring, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, on behalf of the
Government gave thank the team who made the national press had an important
contribution to the administration of government effectiveness, social security
and defense, economy and society order... with many progressive achievements.
Deputy
Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam hopes that press sector continues accompanying with
government at all levels and help the country to implement more innovation;
well carrying out the roles of propaganda, critics to contribute positively in
reforming economic management and
improving the effective and efficient administration and management of
the economy. Newspapers continue to arouse the spirit of national unity,
strength of times to support the work of protecting the integrity and
territorial sovereignty of Vietnam;
to support the Government in developing the rule of law, strengthening
discipline. Along with commending good
examples, the media should strengthen the struggle with the negative
manifestations, local interests, interests groups, corruption and waste; raising
voice and information about the leadership, guidance of the Party and
government administration, participation of the people; strengthening
criticism, judgment to make press really the voice of the people, government is
the people's government.
2014,
Vietnamese revolutionary press had the remarkable progress. The press agency
was active to innovative content, forms, methods, convey information and improve
the professional quality for journalists. The authorities who are responsible
for managing the press must improve coordination with the press agencies and authorities
in implementing assigned political tasks, especially in the operational
management of electronic media and websites.
