The 4th  ASEAN Children Forum with the theme “One ASEAN, One Vision for Children” was officially opened in the capital of Hanoi.
Attending the opening ceremony of the Forum included Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam; The Minister of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung; Chairman of the Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Teenagers and Children of the National Assembly Nguyen Thanh Hai; ASEAN Deputy Secretary General Vongthep Arthakai Valvatee together 35 delegates aged 12-18 of 8 countries in the ASEAN region. Among them, Vietnam has 5 delegates from the provinces and cities: Hanoi, Bac Kan, Quang Binh, Quang Nam and Dong Thap.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung said, on December 31, 2015, 10 Southeast Asian nations (ASEAN) became a common community and leaders committed to consolidating strong ASEAN Community, promoting the achievements and deepenning the linking process to the realization of an ASEAN Community by people-centered. ASEAN Community will be a community of peace, stability and resilience with the commitment to promote and protect the rights. Strengthening social protection of children is a priority implementation. Besides, the ASEAN Community towards a friendly, close to the children, where every child to share and enjoy common values ​​brought by the Community is one of the basic objectives of  ASEAN.
According to the Minister, in April, the XIII National Assembly of Vietnam passed the Law on Children, this June as well as the Month of Action for Children of Vietnam is held annually to promote care, education and child protection. Therefore, the 4th  ASEAN Children Forum held in Vietnam is really special and very meaningful.
With 4 Topics discussed include: the Anti-trafficking in children in ASEAN; protecting children in cyberspace; prevention of violence against children and ASEAN children with climate change, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung delegates believed that children would actively discuss and give opinions, their views so that make a recommendation, the joint statement of ASEAN children to sent to the Ministers in charge of social Welfare and Development of ASEAN as well as the specialized agencies concerned.
At the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and Dao Ngoc Dung Minister awarded prizes to the winners of the painting contest and wrote messages on the ASEAN Vision to 2025. Dinh Thanh Phong (grade 2C elementary schools Le Chi, Ha Noi) and Vu Thi Kim Dung (grade 6C junior high school  Cuu Cao, Hung Yen) from Vietnam delegation won the first prize. Before that, from March 10 to May 10, Vietnam launched a painting competition and composing messages of ASEAN Vision to 2025 in order to propagate the vision of ASEAN and the ASEAN Community in 2025 for all children in the region. The competition has attracted millions of children and adolescents across ASEAN participation, thereby encouraging them to express views, their desire for ASEAN community.

governments in ASEAN should involve youth in developing their policies and plans to address peace in Southeast Asia, economic progress and prosperity.

WE SHOULD encourage member states to review national legislations, regulations, policies and practices related to child rights and ensure that these are in line with the CRC. It also has the mandate to promote studies and research related to the rights of women and children.
