War without gunfire
22/7/15
Experts from 11 countries worldwide
have concluded that climate change poses significant risks to the security of
the world and every country. At first listen, the relation between climate
change and global security does not seem close together but the arguments of
scientists led people to look back.
The warming of the Earth's climate leads
to the scarcity of water and food, causing large-scale distress migration.
Rising temperature makes sea levels risen and arable land area shrunken, pushing
people to the conflicts for resources. Meanwhile, migration is the choice for
those who live in areas affected by climate change and the situation is
forecasted to take place in a large and unprecedented scale in history.
The wave of mass migration from the
Middle East, North Africa to Europe is causing
many issues because it entails many implications, which are emerging security
issues. The main cause of this wave comes from political instability and
conflict, the problems have deep roots from the effects of climate change and
entail consequences such as terrorism, crime are difficult to avoid.
Meanwhile, national security issues
are always at the forefront of every country. Many countries are ready to spend
billions of dollars to ensure security. However, the budget devoted to the
fight against climate change is not a priority. Warning of the experts
mentioned above shows that countries should reconsider the anti-climate change,
a war without gunfire but extremely hot.

There is something glorious and wonderful about the idea that we live in a world where the most pressing concern for all people, rich and poor alike from every nation, is that the air might be changing temperature and that it might not rain in the same place next year as it did this year.
Obviously, while I can understand that a huge number of lives are being destroyed by unrestrained weapon sales to armed groups in the world, we need to balance the possibility that those people exist against the possibility that weapons sales make great money for people who certainly do exist.
Climate change will complicate and worsen existing global security problems, such as civil wars, strife between nations and refugees
Fights over resources, like water and energy, hunger and extreme weather will all go into the mix to further destabilise the world
climate change a "threat multiplier" to go with poverty, political instability and social tensions worldwide.
Warming will trigger new problems but also provide countries new opportunities for resources and shipping routes in places such as the melting Arctic
along with other causes, the conflict in the Darfur region of western Sudan "began as an ecological crisis, arising at least in part from climate change
Climate change will not directly cause conflict - but it will exacerbate issues of poor governance, resource inequality and social unrest,
if you are already living in a place affected by violent conflict I suspect climate change becomes the least of your worries
People should make high sense about this issue in future so that keep a safe world for our next generations
