When priest is a job!

21/7/15

Anyone who practises a religion has rights to cling on its values and principles and to be deluded by itself. But, believing in a religion is totally different from believing in some self-claimed representatives of the religion. They are dignitaries who is given authority of practising and teaching religious principles, but all they do do not entirely represent good values of the religion itself. However, it’s sad that this misunderstanding still exists in reality, a part of followers is presuming these individuals’ words and deeds representatives of the religion. We should know that not all of them are official and true dignitaries. These people consider their positions in religious commission as a job, and they abuse it to benefit themselves. It is a dark part that is not everyone can conceive.
The story of a Vietnamese priest in U.S. is an vivid example. California Priest, lawyer Nguyen Minh Hien has been charged by the U.S. authorities with bank fraud and tax evasion. I am sure that before the incident was worked out, no one doubted his dignity and ethic. This incident is not a minority, you can see many other priests like Nguyen Van Hung, Nguyen Huu Le… who have conducted a lot of activities beyond their positions and responsibilities to benefit themselves. But why, why aren’t they exposed soon?
Back to the above incident, for a long time, Nguyen Minh Hien has ran the Vietnamese Catholic Center for the Diocese of San Jose, with a respectable face. But he have deposited into his personal bank account 14 checks totaling $19,000 that were given to him by parishioners between 2005 and 2008 as donations for the Vietnamese Catholic Center.
Now you can see how those priests make money from their innocent parishioners. Moreover, it’s more dangerous that they have abused faith of followers to protest against the Party and State of Vietnam, undermining Vietnam’s national interests and causing chaos to our society.
Recently, priest Nguyen Huu Le produced and spread the documentary film “Truth about Ho Chi Minh” which is totally fabricated with many distorted information and bullshit things that no one could trust. The question is why did he do that? What is his intention? Does that go beyond his responsibility and position? We all can nose political motives here. And behind that, he must have earned a significant amount of money from naïve people and supporters.
Apparently, Christians have their strong worship to the religion itself and Christian dignitaries. But followers should be aware of these priests and their activities. Practising the religion and its teachings do not mean blindly trusting and following religion’s dignitaries’ words and deeds.
In Vietnam, there are now many priests and even bishops who claim themselves “fathers” have abused followers’ faith to benefit themselves. They must be exposed and criticized for what they have done. You can see many “fathers” have incited and called parishioners and followers to protest and conduct activities against the State, violating the laws in the name of Gods. Where on earth, religions’ dignitaries have claimed themselves these rights!?

These men are not priests, they are businessmen who put aside all to benefit themselves. They must be exposed for others to know.

So ironical, priests must worship Gods and help people, followers reach good things, instead they abuse their positions.

I don't like Christianity, I think Buddhism is better and more familiar with Asian people like our country.
