NA approves new Deputy PMs, Ministers, Cabinet members

New Vietnam Cabinet
The National Assembly voted to approve the Prime Minister’s appointment
of three Deputy Prime Ministers and 18 Ministers and Cabinet members on
April 9 morning, during the ongoing 11th and the last session of the
13th legislature in Hanoi.
The following is the election result:
- 442 deputies (89.47 percent of the total deputies) approved the
appointment of Politburo member Truong Hoa Binh as Deputy Prime
Minister.
- 442 deputies (89.47 percent of the total deputies) approved the
appointment of Politburo member Vuong Dinh Hue, head of the Party
Central Committee’s Economic Commission, as Deputy Prime Minister.
- 404 deputies (81.78 percent of the total deputies) approved the
appointment of member of the Party Central Committee Trinh Dinh Dung as
Deputy Prime Minister.
- 463 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Do Van Chien – Deputy Minister and Vice Chairman of the
Committee for Ethnic Affairs, as Minister - Chairman of the Committee
for Ethnic Affairs.
- 462 deputies approved the appointment of Politburo member Ngo Xuan
Lich, Director of the General Department of Politics under the Vietnam
People’s Army, as Minister of National Defence.
- 459 deputies approved the appointment of Politburo member To Lam,
Deputy Minister of Public Security, as Minister of Public Security.
- 435 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Chu Ngoc Anh – Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, as
Minister of Science and Technology.
- 434 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Pham Hong Ha, Deputy Minister of Construction, as Minister of
Construction.
- 433 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Nguyen Ngoc Thien – Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and
Tourism, as Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
- 424 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Truong Minh Tuan – Deputy Minister of Information and
Communications, as Minister of Information and Communications.
- 422 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Tran Tuan Anh – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, as
Minister of Industry and Trade.
- 420 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Tran Hong Ha – Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and
Environment, as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.
- 419 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Nguyen Chi Dung – Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment,
as Minister of Planning and Investment.
- 416 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Truong Quang Nghia - Deputy head of the Party Central
Committee’s Economic Commission, as Minister of Transport.
- 403 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Le Minh Hung – Deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s
Office, as Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam.
- 389 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Mai Tien Dung – Secretary of the Party Committee of Ha Nam
province and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, as Minister -
Chairman of the Government Office.
- 386 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Phung Xuan Nha - Director of the Vietnam National University –
Hanoi, as Minister of Education and Training.
- 385 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Le Vinh Tan – Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, as Minister of
Home Affairs.
- 385 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Le Thanh Long – Deputy Minister of Justice, as Minister of
Justice.
- 358 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Phan Van Sau – Deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s
Economic Commission, as Government Inspector General.
- 300 deputies approved the appointment of member of the Party Central
Committee Dao Ngoc Dung – Secretary of the Party Committee of Bloc of
Central Agencies, as Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.
With 93.12 percent of approval votes, the NA adopted a Resolution
ratifying the Prime Minister’s proposal on appointing several Deputy
Prime Ministers.
The parliament also passed a Resolution ratifying the Prime Minister’s
proposal of appointing a number of Ministers and other Cabinet members
with 93.31 percent of votes.-VNA

New Cabinet of the Government brings us new hope in the next period
The new Cabinet has been selected carefully to choose good ones
The selection process is very careful and democratic
In the new Cabinet there are a lot of members who have Dr degree.
I really expect them to perfectly fulfill their new task in new positions.
Protecting the national sovereignty and ensuring basic rights and happy life of the people are among the top priorities of the new Cabinet.
Task for the new Cabinet is heavy but I think with the support of the entire soldiers and people, the Cabinet will do well
New Ministers are the new leaders of their own areas, they have to give new approaches to do their job.
Vietnam is entering a new period of development, the new Cabinet is a good motivation to make the country go forward faster and more sustainable.
