Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has wrapped up his trip to attend the official signing ceremony of the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union in Kazakhstan, paid the official visit to countries including Algeria, Portugal and Bulgaria.
This activity is important significance, reflecting the diverse aspects of our foreign policy at present, expressing advocated multilateralism and diversification of international relations, just as following positive and proactive international integration, in which international economic integration and has been strongly implemented firstly by the State of Vietnam.
The markets in coalition countries have just been opened and highly complementary to our economy, creating opportunities for exporting many our goods of upper hands such as: Agricultural products, fisheries, textiles, footwear, furniture, electronic goods, and conducting investment activities in the light industry, processing industry to the Member States of Eurasian Economic Union. Besides, we have the conditions to attract investment and technology needed for industrialization and modernization of the country, especially in the energy sector, oil and gas, machine building...
The relations among economy, trade, investment and development are also convenient platform for us to strengthen ties with the member countries of Eurasia Economic Union, including comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia and the friendship and traditional cooperation with countries such as Armenian, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The countries all emphasized that the visit of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung was at the right time when bilateral cooperation needed to nudge, strong political platform to speed up and move to the higher development stage, meeting all requirements by all parties. During the talks, conferences, meetings between Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to the Presidents, Prime Ministers, Chairmen of the State Congress, all leaders agreed that extensive exchange occasions on this direction have a strong consensus in assessment cooperation but many others are still modest, especially relations among economy, trade and investment are not commensurate with the potential and strengths of the parties. The parties should make efforts to put economic cooperation become the pillar of bilateral cooperation, actively seeking new forms of cooperation on how to exploit the potential and strengths of each country, especially in these priority and similar areas which have complementary.

For FTA signed with Eurasian Economic Union, we need to accelerate preparations, rapidly build strategies, collaborative plans to enlist the opportunity brought by the FTA to expand markets, enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises and economies. Besides, the FTA is an opportunity, but also a challenge, requiring a determined and the close collaboration of the Government, ministries, branches, localities, enterprises and industry associations... to create a collective force to turn challenges into opportunities.
